I am working on S1000D Standards. I have create some Hatch Patterns (view the iso file attached).
When I use these patterns it would be fine. Once I close the file and again open the same file I get the preview of the hatchings (view the attached jpeg file).
Could any one please suggest how to get rid of this problem as I would be using this patterns daily.

I'm currently working with Epic editor 5.1 and for a new project I have to work with Schema but it seems that Epic 5.1 is not able to parse XML file using schema (I tried with a version 5.2 and it works).
Could someone confirm that it is not possible to work with XML Schema on Epic 5.1 and I need to upgrade my licence or is there any configuration, manipulation or anything else to do.

I have a problem with an ACL function.
When I call this ACL fucntion in Arbortext, I have the following error message: [A11385] can't redefine function "funtion_name" since it is currently executing".
Do you have an idea to solve this problem?

I have a macro that needs to read the text of callouts.
I can't find anything that lets me read the text.
I've found callout.text_prefix and callout.text_postfix but can't find a function to read the actual text itself.
Is there one?
My company is in the process of migrating from Active CGM to IsoView to display our intelligent graphics in an IETM. When we preview our converted graphic we noticed that the hotspots and labels disappear (are no longer displayed, but links remain active) when we pan and/or zoom in or out on a graphic. We're working with files that have been authored for ActiveCGM and then converted to IsoView.
Has anyone seen this type of issue before? We're using v7.1.50.09 of IsoView and are held to DADMS compliance (Departement Of Navy Application and Database Management System), so may be able to upgrade to 7.3 M010 if this issue is addressed in that version. Any help/information is VERY appreciated!
I have a customer who is trying to open an xml against a dtd and he continues to get the error:

I looked at column 66, line 217 and it says this:
<!ENTITY % ISOtech PUBLIC
"ISO 8879-1986//ENTITIES General Technical//EN" >
Looks like the string is quoted. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

I try create macro to select everything countaining color fill exept for the Black, White, and no fill, and apply to a pre define color called Shaded Area who is a black 45%. If somebody could help with that one it will be much appreciated!

Hi, I'm brand new here and needed to ask a question on configuration of Isodraw.
My question is this. Is there a way to make icons in the Pallette window change color when picked? Sometimes it's difficult to see what choice I've made since it all looks the same to me. Another question would be to ask if you can change the background color of the drawing area. The white background at times causes me eye strain and changing the color to a darker color with bright lines is a lot easier on my eyes.
I've tried to contact PTC and suggest this as a change for the next version, but cannot find a way to contact them for suggestions.

We upgraded three seats to v7.3 several months ago, to solve a .wmf size issue in Word (8 inches in Isodraw = 6 inches in Word.) Our three seats of v7.3 have been producing consistently correct .emf files on our two Windows 7 machiines and one XP64 machine until last week, when the XP64 installation whent back to generating incorrectly sized .emf files.
I've tried them in various Office apps and even in Adobe Illustrator, but the only time# the .emf files are displayed at the correct size is when imported back into Isodraw. I also have re-installed v7.3 on the XP64 machine with no luck. We plan to upgrade the XP machine to Windows 7 in about 2 months, but there's no guarantee that will work, and we need the capability now, rather than later....Has anyone else experienced simalar problems?

If one has done calculations in Mathcad, it is unprodcutive to use the Editor's Equation Editor to key in the calculations again...

I am trying to convert my 4.3 .vr files into 5.3 XUI XML files. One of the .vr files was a toolbar with two text boxes anchored to the bottom of the Epic window. I am able to create an XUI XML file with two read only textboxes anchored to the bottom, but do not want the user to have the ability to close the dialog. Is there a way to disable the X (close) button on the top right of the dialog. If not, do I need to somehow make it into a toolbar. Thanks for any help.

Could one just have the Import/Export license working without the Architect and would one be able to import documents and create Map Templates?

Hi All,
We generally get error java.lang.NullPointer Exception while opening dynamic documents in Arbortext Editor in a linked session with Windchill. Clearing the cache or workspace sometimes resolves the issue. However, i do not believe that it has something to do with cache or workspace as it happens quite often.
What could be the reason and how to fix it?

Hi Folks,
We have been using Arbortext as a publishing tool for almost a year now. So far we have not had too many issues we haven't been able to overcome. Typically our documents are between 50 - 200 rendered pages and contain images, lists, cross references, and often many tables.
From time to time, I get complaints from users indicating that after rendering documents multiple times, they get segment violations and Arbortext closes. The work around is to restart and keep going.
It seems that the more complex the tables get (cell spanning) the more likely we have issues. For fun, I took a document and copied the content many times over to see what would happen when we have a larger document - the result is Arbortext will just crash about 330 pages or so into rendering. From a system perspective, I can see memory usage climb (x32 version here) to just over 1.1 GB before the crash. The error I commonly see is editor.exe: segment violation (signal 11).
My question is this, how do others handle these issues and are there other settings under the covers that will allow Arbortext more memory or to process larger files? I am a bit nervous that someday soon we may run into a 600 page document that cannot be handled.
I looked into some of the stylesheet profiling tools - but again with the error message I am seeing - it doesn't tell me what is really happeneing. For reference we are using the APP engine and have a custom schema/stylesheet.
Any advise is welcome.

Hi Every one, I have Using Isodraw 7.1. I want create new callout style based on my requirement. See below Requirement. 1. Callout numbers are always located in the middle of the callout number line without background color.
2. The maximum clearance between the callout number line and callout number is 2 mm.

I have installed ISOview 7.2 in windows 7 , it is working working with out any issues in IE 8 32 bit but in IE 8 64 it is installing active x every time I open the page and Images are not working.

We have a user, that when creating a resolved document gets no reused (blue) text in her document. As far as I can our setting are the same. I can see the reusesd (blue) text. What setting should be enabled to see this?

If your resource manager is open. when you go to open a new topic it is dreadfully slow. Is there a key that you can hold down on the keyboard when opening a topic that will suppress the resource manager from opening in the topic being opened.

Please assist - I have a client who runs Arbortext Editor and Styler 6.0 M070.
They are currently experieince errors when previewing to RTF. The error message reads: [Unable to obtain a license for optional component Arbortext Import/Export]
The client does not have Import/Export licenses and should not have. They also do not have Import/Export installed. Previewing to RTF is standard Styler functionality.
The client is also running on MS 2010 and can open RTF documents that I send them.
Anyone expericed a similar case? Please assist - I cannot understand why Styler is looking for the Import/Export license. We have tested on other machines that have Editor and Styler and the RTF preview works.
